MRSA Colonization in Workers from Different Occupational Environments—A One Health Approach Perspective

Staphylococcus aureus and particularly methicillin-resistant S. (MRSA) infections are currently associated with extremely high morbidity mortality rates worldwide. The global escalation in the development of antibiotic-resistant human pathogens ability developing new clones capacity to invade community settings, leads an urgent need develop accurate efficient assessments colonization occupational those increased risk animal food contamination. Here we present cross-sectional studies aim assemble crucial information regarding MRSA prevalence workers from five different Portuguese environments (bakeries, swineries (humans animals), ambulance crews, veterinary clinics healthcare facilities).
